MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines will join the rest of the world in the annual observance of Earth Hour Saturday, in which lights will be switched off for one hour simultaneously with 131 countries and 4, 616 cities and towns around the world.
In Makati City, Mayor Jejomar Erwin S. Binay will lead the countdown together with city officials, executives from the business sector and members of the diplomatic corps in a ceremonial countdown at the Ayala Triangle Gardens starting at 7p.m. |
