Fuente Osmeña (Osmeña Fountain) is a fountain built to commemorate the completion of the Osmeña Waterworks System in 1912. The waterworks system took 13 months to complete from January 1911 to February 1912 at a cost of 550,000 pesos.The fountain itself symbolizes the march to progress of the city during the American-colonial era as vital infrastructure projects are completed such as the waterworks system itself. fuente osmeña-cebu heritage

73th Cebu Charter Day

Cebu City Charter Day Cebu City Charter Day is observed on 24th February. The main attractions of this festival are the parades and the presentation ceremony that are attended by the officials. At the presentation ceremony the people who have contributed greatly towards the development of this city are awarded. The organizations that have helped in the betterment of the city are also given their due recognition.

This celebration starts with a mass that is held at the City Hall. The mass is followed by the flag hoisting ceremony. The civic as well as the military parade pulls in a large number of people.
